Terms of service
Draft for review — governs use of the Arecibo merchant dashboard and customer application.
Last updated: August 2026 · Jurisdiction: Canada
1. Service description
Arecibo provides a platform through which merchants and customers can discover and compare financing options offered by partner lenders. Financing agreements are between customers and lenders; merchant payout agreements are between merchants and lenders.
2. Not a lender
Arecibo does not underwrite credit, hold funds, process repayments, or guarantee approvals. All lending decisions are made by third-party licensed lenders.
3. Merchant obligations
- Provide accurate business information during onboarding.
- Represent purchase amounts honestly.
- Confirm a financing outcome before releasing goods or services.
4. Customer use
Customers must provide accurate information and complete lender applications truthfully. Repayment terms are set by the chosen lender.
5. Availability
The service is offered in Canada only. We may modify partner lenders or platform features with notice where required.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Arecibo’s liability is limited to direct damages arising from platform failures, excluding lender decisions, merchant–customer disputes, or indirect losses.
