What Arecibo is

Arecibo is a financing aggregator that connects merchants and customers with partner lenders. We are not a lender, payment processor, or money services business. We do not store Social Insurance Numbers, bank account numbers, or credit bureau files.

Information we collect

• Merchants: business name, category, and contact details provided during onboarding.
• Financing activity: amount, merchant reference, lender selected, outcome, and timestamps.
• Technical: logs and device or browser metadata used for security and fraud prevention.
• Partner enquiries: name, company, work email, enquiry type, and message when you contact us.

What we do not collect

Underwriting data such as income, Social Insurance Number, or full credit reports is exchanged directly between customers and lenders. Arecibo receives outcome notifications and metadata only.

How we use data

To present financing options, respond to enquiries, provide reporting to merchants and partner lenders, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information.

Retention & security

Data for the Canadian market is stored in Canadian cloud regions. Access is limited to operational need. Retention follows partner agreements and legal requirements for financial records.

Your rights
